Every year in Barcelona, young musicians from all over the world perform Russian classical music. Ten editions. More than twenty countries. An event that just keeps growing.
Ten years uniting cultures through music.
The Russian Dawn International Classical Music Festival and Competition was created in 2015 with one objective: to popularise the music of the great Russian composers among young performers from all over the world. In ten years it has grown from a youth competition into an international festival that brings together performers, teachers and lovers of Russian culture from more than twenty countries.
It is organised by the Russian-Catalan Cultural Association Sodruzhestvo · Amistat together with the Russian Academy of Music in Barcelona, with the support of the Russian House in Madrid and the Union of Organisations of Russian Compatriots in Spain and Andorra.

How to participate
The festival is open to soloists and groups of any country and nationality. Participants must be under 25 years of age as of 31st December of the year of the competition. Teachers may participate as members of groups, orchestras, or as accompanists.
Repertorythe contestants prepare two pieces. The first, of their own choosing. The second, by a 19th- or 20th-century Russian composer. All works are performed from memory.

Children's category: 5 minutes
Youth category: 10 minutes
Young artist: 15 minutes
